Michael Luehmann:
Hello Ralph. Good morning. Nice having you here today. You have been with ABM for three months now as Managing Director. Can you briefly tell us why you actually joined ABM?

Ralph Treude:
Hello Michael. Good morning. A pleasure being here with you in Marktredwitz today. Well, why did I join ABM? That´s easy actually: For me, sustainability is clearly one of today’s key topics. That means, of course, a sustainability that addresses our environmental responsibilities. That is something I feel very strongly about, and it is a growing challenge for us all. But it also means looking at sustainability in areas like profitability and growth, especially when we look at how that relates to our workforce. And that is all here at ABM in Marktredwitz.

Michael Luehmann:
That sounds great Ralph. What about your first 3 months now in the company– how does it feel? And can you tell us a bit more about what makes ABM a sustainable company?

Ralph Treude:
It simply feels great being here. So many passionate people, fantastic drive solutions for our customers and ample opportunities for growth – the first 3 months have really been very good. Let me give you a few examples: We have just started to extend our production capacity once again and are building an extra production hall with new machines in order to deliver more quickly to our customers in future.We are continuing to further digitalize our production as well as our back office, and will switch to SAP in 2023.Since the middle of this year, our new website and LinkedIn channel are online: Both show ABM as we are – a company based on partnership with innovative, energy-efficient products. New drive solutions are already in the pipeline. As I said: I am proud to be a part of ABM.

Michael Luehmann:
Yes, you are right we are really a cool site here in Marktredwitz. And what are you plans for the future? Can you tell us a bit about it?

Ralph Treude:
Yes with pleasure, Michael. For me, the most important topic is using our opportunities in the best possible way. With our PM-motors, for example, we have one of the best products on the market. We have excellent people on board and there are also a wide range of synergies to be had as part of the senata Group. Our drive solutions all have one thing in common: They offer measurable added value as they are always optimally designed for the applications. My aim will be to communicate the advantage for the user even more comprehensively, so we can further enhance the competitiveness of our customers. And as another example, a further area will be expanding our service and support. I will be happy to talk about that in a later discussion.

Michael Luehmann:
Thank you Ralph. You make me curious. But let me just ask one last question, as we are coming to the end of our short conversation. You were mentioning the PM motors – what is that all about?

Ralph Treude:
Yes, our PM-motor is a great example of efficiency and sustainability. With efficiencies of more than 90% over a broad speed range, it has a high power density. With that, it is possible to reduce the energy consumption and thus the costs for the user significantly.

Michael Luehmann:
