ABM informs customers about energy efficiency
On July 4, 2008 the 1st One-Day Seminar „Energy Efficient Drive Systems“ was held to inform our customers about available technologies to increase drive efficiencies.
The day began with top-class technical lectures: After the official welcome by MD Prof. Dr. Kremser (Georg-Simon-Ohm-Hochschule Nuremberg) presented technical possibilities to increase efficiency of electric motors. Ralf Stoeber (VDE Nordbayern) informed about the latest climate protection regulations signed to law by the Federal Government and planed international regulations for energy efficiency. After that Beate Zehrer (Electrical Development Dept.) outlined how ABM developed the new energy saving SINOCHRON®-Motors. Based on this development WB (Application Engineering Manager) demonstrated how SDC controllers can adjust SINOCHRON®Motors without speed sensor feedback.

The afternoon was used for plant tours. Our customers had the opportunity to tour motor and gearbox manufacturing as well as aluminum die-cast operations.

The evening was reserved for an introduction and history of the play „Der Watzmann ruft“ by Michael Lerchenberg, Director of the Luisenburg Festival. The subsequent attendance of this play finished the 1st One-Day Seminar with a cultural highlight.
