German Special Drive Technology for Forklifts and Overhead Cranes – Now available in China

The German Manufacturer of Electric Motors and Gearboxes ABM Greiffenberger Antriebs-technik GmbH with headquarters in Marktredwitz (close to Munich) established in June 2007 a Chinese subsidiary located in Suzhou, not far from Shanghai.

For over 70 years ABM manufacturers tailor-made electrical drive systems for machine- and systems producers. In close cooperation with Original Equipment Manufacturers ABM designs and manufacturers individual drives solutions, consisting of electrical motors, gearboxes, brakes and frequency inverters. The formula for success of this important German Electric Motor and Gearbox Manufacturers is now also available to Chinese machine builders.

With the opening of a subsidiary in Suzhou, China, ABM Greiffenberger Antriebstechnik GmbH further expands its international presence. With this expansion ABM can now support their international clientele even better and strengthens its position in the global market place.

Crucial factors to base „ABM Drives (Suzhou) Co., Ltd.“ in Suzhou were the vicinity to Shanghai, easy access to transportation and the overall infrastructure of Suzhou one of the booming cities of modern China. The manufacturing facility of the subsidiary, production will commence in January 2008, has 1250m².

 

Worldwide ABM has now six subsidiaries. Besides the new location in China additional subsidiaries are in France, Netherlands, USA, Austria and Switzerland.
